Total Transformation Program (Weight Loss that is affordable).
Oh my, its been a fast and furious summer. I can't believe that school starts back up next week. I know everyone has been out having fun at the lake or swimming every weekend. I have been too. I decided that it is time to get serious about everybodys weight loss goals. My personal training sessions are going to be harder and I have decided to offer more Group Classes. The Classes are going to be phenominal. It will be an experience that will never be forgotten. All ages ,all sizes, and all uncordinated people can participate in this Program. The following are descriptions of each class. If your interested please either text me (368-3134)your address to mail you a calendar or come by the studio (1515 south 7th Suite 300--on will rogers and 7th street). The cost is $60 per month for unlimited classes or $80 per month for unlimited classes plus Yoga! ***Jessica Salter is my new Yoga Instructor. She is an amazing person and a talented instructor***
Bottoms Up!
During a 45 Minute Group Session, you will be performing a fun and effective leg toning, Bootie lifting, thigh trimming routine. Each Bottoms Up session will include standing and mat exercises combined with stretching and some cardio. This class will prove to be your favorite!
Xtreme Flex!
During a 45 Minute Group Session, you will enjoy and release all pressures of the world. Each Xtreme Flex session you will be using bands and mat work to help to release stress and increase flexibility. Life will be put on hold the minute you walk in to our facility until you walk out. This will prove to be your favorite!
I am WOMAN!
During a 45 Minute Group Session, you will enjoy creating that beautiful tank top upper body. Each I am WOMAN session you will be using light hand weights (2#, 3#, or 5# weights). You will sculpt and tone your arms, shoulders, back and chest, all while creating lean muscle mass and building strong bones. You will be burning calories and having fun while doing cardio and strength training. This will prove to be your favorite!

No More! It's time to just do it!
Well I guess it took a weekend of rest due to sickness to kick my own rear into gear! I decided to get serious about my nutrition. I know that I don't eat terrible, but I eat out way too much and also have gotten in to the bad habit of eating CHOCOLATE on a daily basis! Winter tends to get to me. I have been in a funk of blah!!! I have decided to try the Clean Eating Diet! It's not really a diet, but it is a way to eat healthy for a lifetime. It's pretty simple! Anything made by man (processed) you stay away from. You eat 5 to 6 times per day. Drink lots of water and exercise daily. I am going to also start doing my cardio in the mornings again.
I started the diet yesterday and it is going great so far. I cooked 1/2 Turkey and 1/2 Lean Beef Burgers on my George Foreman Grill, made a salad with spinach, scallions, broccoli, and carrots, and made a fruit salad with watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, and strawberries. It was very yummy. This morning I had a small banana and a hand full of Almonds with sea salt. Then for lunch I had baked chicken cut up on a spinach salad (leftover from last night) and used the juice off of the chicken as a dressing. For snack I am having Fruit salad and almonds with a Soy Protein drink. Tonight Lemon Pepper Baked Chicken with brown rice and green beans.
The hardest part for me is getting in my snacks in the morning. I might just have to buy a small cooler to keep food at work. I know I can not do the Clean Eating Diet perfect, but I am incorporating it in every where I can. I can avoid sugar, pastas, processed foods etc. but can't buy organic easily in Kingfisher or eat wheat (due to my Celiac Disease). It doesn't matter, as long as I can do it the majority of the time. I hope that those of you that are reading this will get the Clean Eating Diet book by Tosca Reno. It is very motivating and it all makes sense.
Weight Loss and Health is 80% Nutrition. This is a proven fact and the world should all try it for a month and watch the difference you will see and feel. Life is too short to be in pain, stressed, and unhappy. You are the only person that can make a change in your life. No body can do it for you! You have to be responsible for your life, no excuses that your family won't eat that way or that you can't afford to eat healthy and exercise.
IF YOU WANT SOMETHING BAD ENOUGH, YOU WILL MAKE TIME FOR IT!!!!!!!!!
***My family is not into health and fitness. They will not keep me from it though. If I had waited for them to join in and support me, I would have never lost the weight and would not be where I am today!***

Bring on the Sun and Pole Aerobics
I am so excited that the weather is starting to show somewhat of a warm up. I get spring fever very easily every time at this point of the year. I see 60-70 degree weather and I break out the flip flops and start dreaming up fun activities outside. I hate the cold and get the winter blues. So when it was in the 80's this week, I felt the happiness and excitement fill me from head to toe. I also start thinking OMG I have to wear tank tops and shorts....time to get even more serious about my workouts.
I began teaching Pilates 5x's per week this week, and OMG I am already seeing results. I am making each class a more strenous class. I added the ballet barre, 2-3# hand weights, and a kids 4 sq ball. Wow, it is amazingly hard, and fun all bundled up into one. I feel sore in spots I haven't been able to workout in months. I love it!!!! My thighs, chicken wings and shoulders are already showing some toning. I know I have appeared to be tone already, but its been winter and you know it is easier to hide under layers of clothing...LOL.
I also have been realizing that I need to start doing some fun things in life. About 3 years ago, I had been taking Pole Aerobic classes in Edmond. I had been a member for 7 months, doing Pole 2-3 x's per week....Let me tell you something...It was so much fun. I learned to let go and just take a chance. I remember the first class I took. ( I always jump into something like this with out thinking, then once I get there--I freak). I walked in to a room full of all different sized people, all different ages, and thought to myself---Atleast if I make a fool of myself, I can leave and never see them again---since it was in big O Edmond. I attended that first session and it was wonderful. It was far from sexy---nothing sexy about hanging on for dear life. The next morning I woke up unable to move my arms or stand up straight for fear of my tummy hurting. It was crazy, but I went back for more 2 days later. During that 7months, I became very close to the girls in the classes, the instructors were wonderful and even found a close friendship with the Owner....she is a wonderful woman. I stopped going when I started working at the Broadway Clinic in OKC--the drive would kill me.
Since people have heard that I do Pole Aerobics, there has been many request from all over Kingfisher and surrounding towns....until this time I was unable to find a building to teach pole. I am so excited to finally offer this from Physique By Paula. It will be some time in May and will be small classes and Girls Night Out Parties (Hosted by me and a very special client of mine). Once I get the Poles and I have had some time to work on the routines, I will let you know a more definate date. I do know it will be WOMEN ONLY!!! LOL
I am going to be offering Pumped Up Pilates Girls Night Out Parties too. This can begin at any time. Just let me know if you are interested.
I will be advertising this soon, so it will fill up quick (people from Enid are already calling me LOL)

Pilates Promises
This blog is to explain why Pilates is such a Passion in my day to day living. Pilates is what I really like to credit for the reason I am the person I am today! I did Pilates the first 6 months of my weight Loss Journey. I didn't do any cardio or weight training until after the first 6 months. During the first 6 months, from changing to a healthy diet and doing Pilates daily, I went from a very tight fitting size 16 to a size 7/8. The inches I lost were amazing. I felt tall, proud, attractive, and my back and neck quit hurting for the first time in years.
I love the fact that I could do Pilates on the floor in my own home. It wasn't expensive. I didn't have to buy a lot of expensive equipment. It was wonderful. My daily dealing with stress and anxiety was under control. I spent that 30-45 mins for my self. I often told my husband and my daughter that "I give 100% to my family and my job, 1 hour of time just for myself is not much to ask". They were very supportive and learned what a bear I was if I wasn't able to do my Pilates each day. I would wake up at 4:30am to do it if I had to. It became part of my life.
When I started training, I lost sight of what was the most passionate thing in my life (besides helping people). I recently realized this. I am now going to push each of my clients to practice Pilates as part of their Health and Fitness goals. I will be teaching Pilates/Barre Group Classes Monday-Friday beginning in March. The following is the schedule:

Great Things In Store for Kingfisher
I am so excited that Monday Feb. 2nd is our final weigh-in and measurements on Total Inches Lost Competition. I can not wait to see who is gonna win!
We had a wonderful turn out for the Community Weight Loss Challenge Kick-off on Saturday. We had a total of 52 people join the Challenge. WWWAAAHHHOOO!!
There is some type of Fitness or Health Activities planned for every saturday in the next 9 weeks...Example: Sat 31st FREE Zumba Class @ 10am @ Memorial Hall ***Donations for Logan Mills will be accepted***, Couples Workout Valentines Day **taught by me** @ 10am @ Memorial Hall!!!! There is lots more planned so watch each Kingfisher Paper for the times and locations.
Boot Camp starts Feb 2nd**New Clients only** No Membership-Workout 2xs week for $60 per week. This last for 8 weeks!!!!

I began to tell myself, you know you should stop stressing, life is good. My family and I are all healthy. What poor Amber and Brent are going through will prove to be bigger than any challenge, but they (Logan) will pull through it. I just need to put her and her family in my prayers while thanking Jesus for my happy and healthy family and friends. I can only imagine how The Mills Family might be feeling!!! God Bless them and I will start thanking the lord for my wonderul life!

Total Inches Lost Contest
I am so excited about this competition! The contestants have 2 more weeks until the final measurements are taken. It has been a rather tough contest since it began Dec 8th and my clients had to go through the holidays and sickness during the whole contest. They have done wonderful though. I can not wait until Feb 2nd to find out who the winner is going to be. They will win $350 shopping spree to Kohl's. WWWWAAAAHHHHOOOO!!!!!! Good Luck girls, wish you could all win. You all are working so hard.

Kingfisher County Team Weight Loss Challenge
I am so excited about this challenge. I have hosted many competitions before, but this one will be a very fun challenge. Teams of 2 or more members of the same business or organization can enter. The cost is $5 per person to enter. The money goes into a pot and the team that loses the most Body Weight % at the end of the 10 week challenge WINS! The teams do not have to be my clients' (but I am recommending that my clients join). The top individual that has the most Body Weight % lost will win a wellness make-over package provided by local businesses. This is so exciting since each saturday during the 10 week challenge, there will be fun, healthy activities that are FREE to the community. This is my dream come true. Those of you who know me, know that I don't care who helped you to achieve health and fitness, or how you achieve it as long as you are healthy and happy, that is all that matters. This is a community effort and I love all the support I have recieved.

No body is perfect!
Ok, my clients all (by now) know me. They know that I am not perfect what so ever. Sure for years I have worked out hard, kept the weight off and ate pretty good. Well, for the last 6 months I have had many illnesses, and lots of stress (starting your own business is a lot of work). I haven't quite gotten my workouts back to normal and my eating has been less than perfect (ok, terrible). This morning I got up and took a shower and decided to wear jeans since I spend everyday during the week in my workout clothes. Well, Jeans are very unforgiven! If you are like me, I gain in my thighs and tummy. Well, all of my jeans were like putting on seran wrap!LOL. Since I began my weight loss journey, I have always stayed away from the scales and just use my clothes as a guide. The scale makes me compulsive. I start weighing day and night, which is an awful idea. Anyways, starting today I am going to get back to doing what I know and teach my clients to do. I am getting back to doing cardio everyday atleast 25 mins on the DEVIL and doing a total body workout. (Maybe I can get these shoulders and neck back to being healthy). It's crazy when a Personal Trainer starts to lack health and fitness. But Once again No Body is Perfect and Lord knows, I am most definately not Perfect and will never let on to anyone that I am! Girls, its time for your trainer to get serious about her own goals and work towards them.

My Clients!
The reason I decided to do this blog was for several reasons. First: Lesley introduced me to this wonderful world of blogging. (Thanks Lesley, You Rock!!) Second: Every week of my life, there are such wonderful people I deal with when Personal Training. I see so many changes in their attitudes towards life. I have good and bad weeks with the ups and downs of motivation. I thought this would open up a whole new way to help motivate and let my clients know what I am thinking. I will never ever put anyones names in here, but they will know who they are when I mention them as "a client of mine". This is a great opportunity for them to also let them know how they are feeling as well. So until next time--Have a great weekend!
